Adam M. Satnick

Adam is a Los Angeles native who has represented clients in both State and Federal court. Adam has experience advising clients in various business, real estate, and general litigation matters, including breach of contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, securities law, and a broad range of real property disputes. Adam previously worked at a four-attorney civil litigation firm representing both plaintiffs and defendants. In early 2017, Adam left his firm and opened a successful solo practice.

In 2019, Adam and Benson founded Satnick Lau LLP to bring their modern vision of a law firm to fruition. In less than one year, Satnick Lau LLP has had unprecedented success, including drafting an amicus brief to the Supreme Court of California, persuading the High Court to affirm a judgment for over half of a billion dollars.

Adam is an award winning legal researcher and writer, a vociferous advocate in the courtroom, and has a broad range of legal knowledge and acumen.

In June 2020, Adam was first selected to the Southern California Rising Stars list. In 2021 he was selected again. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the State are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor.

Benson-Lau

Benson K. Lau

Benson is a Hawaii native who has resided in Los Angeles for over a decade. Benson began his career as a litigator specializing in civil, real estate, entertainment, and corporate litigation. Benson has experience representing clients in both State and Federal Court. Benson entered the cannabis industry over eight years ago prior to the passage of the Adult Use of Marijuana Act. Since entering the industry, Benson has represented all types of cannabis business operators, including, cultivators, manufacturers, distributors, testing labs, and retailers, on a variety of matters such as litigation, intellectual property rights, licensing, municipal disputes, landlord/tenant issues, mergers and acquisitions, state and local licensing, and compliance.  

Benson’s practice includes providing guidance to start-ups and small businesses with regard to business planning and general corporate matters such as choice of entity planning; the formation, organization, governance and qualification of corporations, general and limited partnerships, and limited liability companies; and employment and consulting arrangements. Benson has also represented clients in both commercial and residential real estate transactions and employment litigation.

Prior to practicing law, Benson worked as a NASD registered financial advisor providing investment advice and comprehensive financial planning services to businesses and professionals.

In June 2020, Benson was first selected to the Southern California Rising Stars list. He was selected again in 2021 and in 2022.

Benson also serves on the advisory board for Cinema Makeup School, a makeup training school located in Los Angeles dedicated to educating the next generation of beauty and special effects makeup artists for career success in the film, television, fashion, and entertainment industries.
